Martin Luther King

Martin was born in Atlanta, Georgia on January 15, 1929. He believed all people had the right to freedom and equality. Martin Luther King didn`t believe in violence. He worked and studied hard in school. His goal was to make the world a betterplace to live. While at college, Martin studied about a man named Gandhi. When Dr. King became the pastor, he became active in civil rights. In 1963, over 250,000 people marched in Washington, D.C. where Dr. King gave his most famous speech, “I Have a Dream.” On the morning of April 4, 1968. Martin Luther King was assassinated. He was just thirty-nine years old.

Biografia

MARTIN LUTHER KING

Martin nasceu em Atlanta, Geórgia, em 15 de janeiro de 1929. Ele acreditava que todas as pessoas tinham o direito de liberdade e igualdade. Martin Luther King não acreditava em violência. Ele trabalhou e estudou muito na escola. Seu objetivo era tornar o mundo um lugar melhor para viver. Enquanto estava na faculdade, Martin estudou sobre um homem chamado Gandhi. Quando o Dr. King se tornou o pastor, tornou-se ativo em direitos civis. Em 1963, mais de 250.000 pessoas marcharam em Washington, D.C., onde o Dr. King fez seu mais famoso discurso, "Eu tenho um sonho". Na manhã de 4 de abril de 1968. Martin Luther King foi assassinado. Ele era apenas trinta e nove anos de idade.

Last year

I visited my mother and studied French. I didn’t have many problems and I made a lot of friends. I went to the USA and learned English a lot too. I saw different places and had time to take pictures. I didn’t drink beer, I drank only soda. I ate barbecue and slept late on weekends. I started a business and worked a lot. My business helped me learn and understand things. I didn’t want to live in the USA because I love Brazil. My life changed and I had many things to do every day. I also finished what I started in 2003: an English course. I didn’t lose anything, I only won. This was the best year of my life. Everything went fine.
